Kevin and Karsen’s wedding day started with a larger-than-life-sized bouquet of red and white roses in the shape of a heart being delivered to Karsen by Sweet Bite. While Karsen and her girls got their hair and makeup done they sipped coffee and laughed. Karsen put on her beautiful Town and Country gown–with pockets! Karsen and her mom then shared a moment in front of a century-old mirror, to recreate three generations of the same wedding picture with the same mirror. Then everyone headed outside for the first look with Karsen’s dad followed by a reveal with her bridesmaids who were dressed in royal blue gowns from David’s Bridal. Everyone was having so much fun that they didn’t notice the time and had to rush off to the ceremony. Karsen and her dad slipped into a vintage white Rolls Royce while the others packed into a trolley, both provided by Alert Transportation & Trinity Trolleys.
Kevin is as cool as they come, a true outdoorsman who spends his free time fishing and hunting. During his prep, he got dressed up in a grey tuxedo from John’s Tuxedos including a run-of-the-mill black bow tie. But not for long, because Karsen surprised him with a heartfelt note and a bow tie made of duck feathers, the perfect finishing touch for a bayou boy on his wedding day.
As Karsen and her dad were preparing to walk down the aisle at the St. Andrew The Apostle Church, they shared a touching moment alone together. Karsen leaned on her dad, who was happy to be there to support her, while he may have shed a little tear. Her dad wasn’t the only one crying. When the doors of the church opened, revealing Kevin’s beautiful bride, you could tell that the tough Louisiana boy had become overcome with emotion at seeing Karsen. When they met at the altar, he got reeled back into the moment and it was all smiles for the pair. After the final blessing and their first kiss, Karsen and Kevin ran outside and stole a moment to themselves. They held each other under the blue sky night and between the columns of the church, in a celebratory bliss.
The new couple then joined their guests at La Maison Creole for their reception. The whole place was jumping. Dollar bills were flying, Clase Azul tequila was flowing, and buttons were unbuttoned. Back to back and cheek to cheek, they danced the night away with all of their closest family and friends watching. Karsen and Kevin danced all the way back to their hotel room where Kevin promptly fell asleep, marking the end of a beautifully raucous wedding day.
