This love story started when Ashley and Blake were kids, even before they knew what love was. One day when Ashley was babysitting Blake’s cousin he asked her for her number. Sparks flew at their first date despite Blake’s poor movie choice for a first date, The Revenant. Blake was drawn to how smart and ambitious Ashley was and knew she was the one. He proposed to her on the beach surrounded by both of their families.
Two years later, Ashley and Blake were getting married. The big day started with Ashley slipping into her timeless lace Yvonne La Fleur gown with her mom and sister by her side. Kristen, Ashley’s sister, helped her with the sleeves and their hands fit together like puzzle pieces during the process. The bond between these three women was so strong and moving to watch. After everything about Ashley was absolutely perfect, she did a reveal with her bridesmaids and her dad, who had to do a couple of 360s around Ashley to get a good look and chase the dogs away from the dress. While Ashley and the girls were getting ready, Blake and his guys were doing the same. The groom looked so handsome in a black tailored tuxedo from Perlis, while he had some truly touching moments with his mom and dad. It felt like a scene straight out of an old Italian movie. Blake’s facial expressions throughout the day were hilarious, but in the moment of truth, when he saw Ashley enter the church, he couldn’t hide his emotions. Tears ran down his face as she approached him at the altar. The Holy Name of Jesus Church was reminiscent of a European cathedral with its gold ceilings and ornate altar. The couple looked so elegant framed within its walls. After saying, “I do,” they paraded with their closest family and friends to the Balcony Ballroom, where they had one hell of a party. The lights in their shoes lit up the dance floor as they rocked to The Top Cats, they did the horah, and they second lined out the building to a sparkler send-off that set the night on fire.
